In The Spotlight: Adisorn Tresirikasem

Adisorn Tresirikasem was born in 1975. He studied Film and Still Photography at the Faculty of Communication Arts and Thailand's Chulalongkorn University.

Adisorn's first job – besides helping out with the family business – was working as a set manager for the movie Angulimala. His foray into filmmaking began with a proposal for a film titled My Girl which he sent to Jira Maligool, a producer with Hub Ho Hin Film. At Jira's urging, Adisorn and five of his coursemates from Chulalongkorn University got together to co-direct My Girl which launched in October 2003 and was Thailand's highest grossing film for that year. The film also received numerous awards – both national and international – most notably Supannahongsa's Best Director Award (2002) which is regarded as the highest award for filmmaking in Thailand, and the Best Director Prize at the 7th Shanghai International Film Festival (2004).

Adisorn's second film Lucky Loser is presently in post-production. The film is his solo directorial debut.
